RUDIS è il backend LLM locale sul tuo Mac (demone + API). Le app iOS gratuite (Job Tailor, Contract Lens, …) sono client che inviano testo al tuo Mac e mostrano la bozza. Non sono «app cloud con Mac opzionale».

Sì, per usare le app in modalità Mac / LAN il demone RUDIS deve girare sul Mac che hai configurato. In menu bar vedi lo stato. Se spegni il Mac, le app non raggiungono il backend finché non lo riavvii e fai Detect.

Free (Gumroad Starter): DMG, demone, menu bar, API :8099/:8443 — tutto ciò che serve alle app iOS.

Pro Mac (Gumroad Pro): stesso motore + GUI workbench Test / Tune / Liberate. Non aggiunge cloud né abbonamenti iOS.

Stessa rete Wi‑Fi: HTTP su porta 8099 (./scripts/serve-lan.sh). Fuori casa o rete mista: Tailscale + HTTPS self-signed su 8443 (serve-lan.sh --https). L'app prova Detect e salva l'host che funziona.

Controlla: demone avviato, firewall macOS che permette connessioni in entrata, stessa rete Wi‑Fi (non guest isolata), IP corretto. Prova curl http://<IP-Mac>:8099/health da un altro dispositivo. Su Tailscale verifica che entrambi i dispositivi siano online e usa https://100.x.x.x:8443/health.

Dipende dall'app: in genere solo testo (OCR, note, trascrizione). Le foto JPEG e l'audio non vengono caricati — l'OCR e Speech girano on-device. Vedi la tabella in Manuale o la riga sotto ogni app in Home.

No. RUDIS produce bozze e checklist da rivedere. Non firma, non certifica, non sostituisce un professionista. Tu sei responsabile di ogni invio.

Solo per SKU specifici con IAP: Voice Clone (sintesi vocale ElevenLabs) e Ages of Face (progressione età Gemini). Le app gratuite della suite RUDIS usano il tuo Mac, non il nostro VPS.

Yes — for Mac / LAN mode the RUDIS daemon must run on the Mac you configured. Menu bar shows status. If the Mac sleeps or shuts down, apps cannot reach the backend until you restart and Detect again.

Check: daemon running, macOS firewall allows incoming connections, same Wi‑Fi (not isolated guest), correct IP. Try curl http://<Mac-IP>:8099/health from another device. On Tailscale ensure both devices are online and use https://100.x.x.x:8443/health.

No. RUDIS produces drafts and checklists for your review. It does not sign, certify, or replace a professional. You are responsible for every submission.
